There’s something special about the place where Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa meet. We call it the Driftless Region, where the Ice Age glaciers failed to grind down a corrugated, primal landscape.
It’s a cyclist’s playground of bluffs, ridges, coulees and valleys on both sides of the Mississippi, is criss-crossed by two networks: smooth, low-traffic county byways and rolling gravel backroads.
We’re volunteers who ride, map, and publicize free routes to promote riding in the Driftless. A variety of lengths and difficulties offer excitement and challenges for all levels of riders. These routes are designed to be ridden self-supported, with free Ride with GPS maps to follow and regular convenience store stops.
